Thank you for joining us Skyknock, can you tell us where are you in the world right now and what projects are you currently working on?
Hey man, firstly, thank you for having me here—it’s a pleasure! So, I
originally hail from a beautiful city called Jaipur in India, but for the last
nine years or so, London has been home. I initially moved here to pursue
my Master’s in Audio Production, but London quickly grew on me, and it’s
felt like home ever since.
Right now, I’m focused on producing a lot of new music this year. I just had
a release with TNH, which I’m super excited about, and we’re also heading
to India later this month for a tour. It’s going to be an amazing experience
and I can’t wait to connect with everyone there.
You recently played alongside Ocula and Massane in India for TNH
Presents, can you tell us a bit about this experience?
Oh yes, that was absolutely incredible! I’ve always looked up to Ocula and
Massane’s music—they’ve been a big inspiration for me—so getting the
chance to play alongside them was truly surreal. The experience itself was
amazing, and the response from the crowd was just phenomenal.
TNH has always been special for me and luckily, I’m headed back to India
again soon with the TNH crew, alongside EMBRZ and Rinzen, which I’m really
excited about. I’m so grateful to This Never Happened team for
making all of this possible. Touring and performing the music I create and love
has always been a dream, and it feels unreal to see it all coming to life.

Do you come across any challenges when making and releasing music?
As a music producer, the journey is full of hurdles, and I've faced quite a
few challenges along the way—some of which I still encounter today.
One of the biggest ongoing struggles is staying relevant in an industry that’s
constantly evolving. With new trends emerging all the time, it can be
difficult to keep up while staying true to your own sound.
How do you tackle this: I think it’s important for any artist to maintain their signature style, but at the same time, we have to adapt to what's happening in the scene. It's about finding that balance - evolving without losing the essence of what makes your
music unique.
Another major challenge is staying inspired consistently. Inspiration
doesn't come on command, and sometimes, it’s nearly impossible to be
creative on demand.
How do you tackle this: I’ve learned to not force the art—if the inspiration
isn’t there, it’s okay to step back for a moment. At the same time, I’ve
realised it’s important not to completely slack off. It’s like this balance of
being patient and persistent, allowing creativity to flow naturally. I’ve
found that sometimes it’s about letting things simmer, even if it takes days
to come up with something. For instance, there have been times when I’ve
struggled to write anything for days, only to come up with something I’m
really proud of on day 10. It’s a process, and I’ve learned to trust it.

Lastly, social media has become a big challenge in the modern music
industry. As much as I believe an artist should be able to focus on their
craft, there’s no avoiding the fact that social media is a huge part of how
we connect with our audience today. It can be overwhelming to juggle
content creation with the time and energy required for producing music.
How do you tackle this: I’ve come to accept that staying on top of social media is part of the game now. Finding a way to balance all of these aspects—creativity, staying connected with fans, and keeping up with trends—has definitely been a challenge, but it’s one I’m always working to improve.
"Their fearlessness in breaking boundaries reminds me that there’s no single right way to make music—it's about staying true to your vision while also embracing the changes around you"
Is there anyone who inspires you or has helped you out on this
journey?
I’ve had the privilege of being inspired by many people, both in terms of
their music and their approach to the industry. First and foremost, I draw a
lot of inspiration from producers and artists who have forged their own
unique path, whether that's in terms of sound or their ability to adapt and
stay relevant. People like Lane 8, Sultan + Shepard, Deadmau5, and
Joris Voorn, for example, inspire me not just through their music but also
through their dedication to evolving and experimenting with new styles.
Their fearlessness in breaking boundaries reminds me that there’s no single
"right way" to make music—it's about staying true to your vision
while also embracing the changes around you.
My family has been a major support for me since day one, and they
continue to be a huge source of inspiration and motivation. I barely made
any money from music in the first 10 years, but my family believed in me
through it all. They supported me both financially and mentally during
those challenging times, and the fact that they never doubted me kept me
going. Having that unwavering support made all the difference, especially
when things weren’t looking promising. Their belief in me helped me push
through the tough moments and reminded me to keep going even when
success felt out of reach.
Another key source of inspiration for me comes from collaborating with
other musicians and producers. Working with others is incredibly
energising and often a driving force for creativity. It pushes me to think
outside of my usual boundaries, and together, we can create something
that wouldn’t have been possible alone. I’ve found that collaboration is
also one of the best ways to break through writer’s block. Sometimes you
get stuck in your own head or fall into a creative rut, but when you work
with others, they can bring fresh ideas, new techniques, and a different
perspective that reignites the creative spark. Plus, it's a great way to learn
new skills and experiment with sounds you might not have thought of on
your own.
What have you got in store for us in 2025?
2025 is looking incredibly exciting right now. I’ve got an upcoming tour
lined up, and there are some gigs in the works for later this year as well,
which I'm really looking forward to. On top of that, I have a couple of new
songs set to drop, with many more already in the works. There are also
some amazing collaborations on the horizon, and I’m really excited about
the direction my music is heading. I can confidently say that 2025 is
shaping up to be a game-changing year for me—one that will set the stage
for even bigger things in 2026.
Thank you Skyknock - lastly, what music have you been listening to recently?
Oh, it’s definitely a tough one—there’s so much incredible music out there!
I’ve been really enjoying the work of Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, and Sultan + Shepard.
These guys continue to push the boundaries of melodic and progressive
electronic music, and their albums have been on heavy rotation for me.
Their ability to craft emotional, immersive soundscapes is something I
deeply resonate with, and it definitely influences my own approach to
production.
That said, I also want to shout out some up-and-coming producers I’m
seriously innovative music, and I think we’ll be hearing a lot more from
them in the coming months. They’ve got fresh, unique sounds that stand out,
and I’m always keeping an ear out for what they’ll do next. I think they’re definitely
on the path to making it big, and I’m excited to see how their careers unfold.
